I know it’s bad to be materialistic & money can’t buy happiness & that the best things in life are free & rahrahrah BUT —
Why front? When I buy things, I get happy. When I recieve gifts, I’m happy. When I’m shopping, I’m happy. When I have money to spend, I’m happy. Material things aren’t the sole provider of happiness in my life, nor do they outweigh anything else. It’s just that material things grant me such an exuberating feeling. It feels good knowing you can buy what you want & it feels even better when they’re given as gifts. Word, they only posses a limited amount of happiness but for that time span, I’m smiling. I don’t care if I’m only happy for a certain amount of time, it put a smile on my face. Isn’t that what counts? I don’t like something & a week later get sick of it. Not at all. I spend within my means so if I can’t afford a $500+ bag, I won’t buy it. Not all my jeans cost $300+ & not everything I wear is designer. I take pride in being a smart shopper. I don’t think I should be frowned upon for having taste.
Material things make you happy, whether for a second, for a week or for a lifetime. There are all different ways to put a smile on someone’s face & material possesions just so happen to be one of them. No reason to knock my hustle.
